  • Each forklift operator certified in accordance with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and National Code of Practice for Training Providers of Lifting Machine Operators (NCOP).A Certificate of Competency (COC) is valid for a maximum period of two years from date of issue.
  • Operators are medically fit (mentally and physically) with the learning ability and potential to become a competent operator. Operators have a basic sense of control mechanisms typically found in most vehicles i.e. steering, brake and accelerator/throttle. Operators possess a healthy respect for their own safety, their fellow operators’ as well as any other personnel who may be encountered during duty. Operators shall each have their own Personal Protective Equipment and stationery when attending for duty. All operators complete background checks including criminal checks and occasional lie detection tests.
